Whereas Solomon’s life was so terribly complicated during his period of wandering “under the sun” (e.g., 1:3, 9) and away from God, the life of the believing child is amazingly simple, as simple as faith itself. Faith asks no confusing questions, trusts God to have the answers, and is left with nothing better to do other than to enjoy with humble gratitude (again, no questions!) the gifts that the gracious triune God sends to his children.
